ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE (OR A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO WRITING THE WORLD)

Evening Workshops: 8/15/22/29 Jan and 5 Feb

We firmly believe that theatre is a practical and evolving discipline, and that it is paramount for all playwrights, directors and creative actors to confront with the pragmatic rules of the stage. We don’t want to teach you how to write, direct or perform a play, but rather provide you with a unique set of provocative, creative and challenging skills through which you might develop a deeper understanding of the infinite opportunities that life and its representation can offer. The 5 weekly working sessions are conceived to approach and gain valuable insight on the essential elements on which the creative writing process is based. You will discover the underlying structures that rule our conception of space, time and rhythm, as well as the often unexplored creative resources offered by objects, silence and actions on the stage.

These practical workshops are open to all professional and semi-professional playwrights, directors, actors and theatre practitioners and will be led by Omar Elerian, associate artist at Tangram Theatre.
